The local newpaper called "La Prensa Austral" met us in the Magellan Forest Reserve to make an article about the tours we provide to the visitors with auditions problems. We went to this Reserve with the Kids from one of the highschool in Punta Arenas and explained them themes abou t Flora, Fauna and history of this area.

"We had so much fun walking among the beech tree forest , it was the opportunity we had to get to know the flora of this area with the help of an interpreter of sign language" said one of the visitors.

BICENTENNIAL REGATTA AND GREAT SHIP MEETING IN PUNTA ARENAS - SAILS SOUTH AMERICA 2010

In spite of the characteristic cold of the southernmost city of the World, Ushuaia, the partaking vessels of “Sails South America 2010” where welcomed by thousands of citizens and tourists, which anxiously awaited the arrival of the fleet.

Today, the sailing ships from America and Europe anchor at their last Argentinean landfall, before heading towards the mythical Cape Horn, a true challenge for the sailors of all time. From there the ships will sail towards Chilean territory, in order to start the Chilean stage of the regatta on March 27th, from the port of Punta Arenas.

But their visit to Ushuaia has caused great expectations among the citizens of the area, which have used the unique opportunity to meet these historical ships. The Sail Training Ship Esmeralda has been one of the most visited ships, receiving more than seven thousand people past March 21st. This fact demonstrates once more that the international community is interested in learning a bit more about the White Lady.
